Real Sociedad whiz Takefusa Kubo credits his LaLiga club for having him ready for the World Cup.

Kubo feels in good shape as he joins up with the Japan squad in Qatar.

He said, "I am very excited, really. It is a dream for any footballer to participate in a World Cup.

"I honestly think that until my signing for Real I was not on the list of 26, anyway, I don't know, but I think that if it had not been for these four months in La Real, with my colleagues and with the technical staff, I would not have reached the fixed World Cup.

“I think this team makes players good. It may be my case, that of Brais, that of Momo, that of the new ones that have arrived, that we are giving a better performance than last year."
