Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny insists he's now good enough to be Arsenal's No1.
The youngster is off contract in June and threatening to leave over lack of first team opportunities.
Szczesny impressed on loan at Brentford last season and wanted to be farmed out again this term.
He said: "I played a few friendlies in the summer and didn't fail. I had hopes before the season - that's why I didn't want to listen to offers.
"Now it's difficult because the season's started and everyone has a keeper.
"I had three meetings regarding extending my contract but the club seemed not to be interested. When I get the chance, I'll prove I should've got my chance earlier."
