Sydney FC's ACL campaign in tatters after Suwon Bluewings loss

Sydney FC's Asian Champions League campaign is over after a 3-1 loss in Korea on Tuesday night.

The Sky Blues needed at least a draw against Suwon Bluewings to keep their hopes of progressing to the knockout stages alive but were unable to get a favourable result in Suwon.

Tae-Goon Ha opened the scoring for the home side in the 34th minute before Mato Neretljak made it 2-0 five minutes into the second half.

Bruno Cazarine immediately responded for the visitors to give them some hope but that was all erased with 10 minutes remaining when Ki-Hun Yeom netted the winner.

The loss left Sydney on five points from as many Group H games and they are now four in arrears of top two, Suwon and the J-League's Kashima Antlers, ahead of their final match in Japan next week.
