New Brentford signing Yunus Emre Konak has suffered a serious setback to his career at the club.
The January arrival has picked up a serious hip injury, tearing his hip adductor tendons in a friendly last month.
Per The Standard, Konak now faces months on the sidelines before he will be fit.
The 18-year-old Turkish midfielder, who joined from Sivasspor, is highly rated at the Bees.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank told reporters this week: “It's the story of our season.
“He got injured in the warm-up [before] a behind-closed-doors game against Brondby.
“He had surgery. Yunus, we're talking about months for him."
