Sunderland urged to consider Lampard for manager's job

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has tipped a former England player to get back into coaching.

Jordan, who now works for talkSPORT, spoke about a possible Frank Lampard return to management.

The ex-Palace owner felt that Lampard may be in for the vacant Sunderland job, where Tony Mowbray was sacked on Monday.

“If you talk about 'football people', someone like Frank Lampard might be under consideration," Jordan stated on talkSPORT.

“I'm not his biggest admirer.

“But, if he is such a football man with such motivation and passion...if Frank Lampard wants to do something at a club with the size and stature of Sunderland, with the opportunities to rebuild, that would be an interesting job, wouldn't it?""
