Sunderland are ready to up their bid for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.
The Sunday Sun says Liverpool have already rejected a £10 million offer from Sunderland for the Italian.
But Borini - last season's 10-goal joint-top scorer (with Adam Johnson) - remains Sunderland's top target, with the club weighing up a bid closer to Liverpool's £12.5m asking price.
