Sunderland are closing on a deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
The Northern Echo says Bishop is set to be sold to the Black Cats.
Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray wants Bishop as competition for his No1 Anthony Patterson.
Bishop was originally signed by United from Southend United.
He has been part of United's US preseason tour.
