Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray was pleased with Amad Diallo for their 2-2 draw with Watford.
Amad, on-loan from Manchester United, impressed from the bench.
After a difficult loan spell with Rangers last season, Amad has looked sharp so far this season - which has led to Black Cats boss Mowbray praising the youngster.
"I thought Amad today showed some real class and quality, as he should because what he cost Manchester United and he's here on loan," Mowbray said.
"He showed that he can stand up and really deliver. I'm pretty sure depending on the situation as we move forward it won't be long before he starts a football match for us and hopefully he gets on the scoresheet and he's off and running."
