Manchester United have handed Angel Gomes a stunning salary to keep the youngster on their books.
The Sun says Gomes penned his first professional United contract last month.
The Red Devils had to stump up a hefty £17,000-a-week BEFORE squad and appearance bonuses to keep him.
Gomes could be taking home £25,000-a-week, if he continues to progress over the lifetime of the deal.
An Old Trafford source said: "The club have coughed up a lot of money for Angel to keep him here.
"He's got a series of bonuses and incentives in there as well. It is big money for this club to give out.
"We do not like to give our youngsters too much, too soon usually. It is a helluva deal for the young man."
In contrast, Marcus Rashford earns around £50,000-a-week before bonuses while also being a senior England regular.
