Stramaccioni excited ahead of Inter Milan's clash with Roma - and Lukaku

Former Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni expects Romelu Lukaku to be inspired when he returns with Roma this weekend.

Lukaku and Roma face his former club at San Siro for the first time since the on-loan Chelsea striker left the Nerazzurri.

Stramaccioni said: "He is an experienced footballer, captain of Belgium, he has lived through a lot. He has played and scored in many countries but he is also a passionate footballer.

"He has always confirmed his love for that team and now he is giving everything for Roma. A very warm environment but he knows how to turn whistles into motivation. The pitch will speak, he will need Roma and his teammates. It will still be a match with a very high difficulty coefficient for both teams."

He also told VoceGialloRossa.it: "A match with many mini matches within it. Inter have regained the top of the table and cannot afford to lose ground. Roma, after a difficult start, has put together a series of useful results and, above all, it comes from the victory against Monza which, as I say, is worth 3 and a half points.

"We saw Mourinho's emotion and involvement, the celebration on knees, making clear the desire for those 3 points. In short, a Roma with great motivation will arrive.

"And then there will be Romelu Lukaku's match within the match, those stories that fascinate in football. The great ex, who left with a few too many bad moods, who finds himself in his old stadium, with his former fans and former teammates. It will be a beautiful show."
