Stoke keeper Bachmann keen on Wrexham return

Stoke City goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann is keen to return to Wrexham.

Bachmann suffered a knee injury in October, but is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could be ready to return in December.

Promotion-chasing Wrexham have already asked if they can extend his spell past January 1 until the end of the season.

Bachmann told The Sentinel: "I've heard about Ben Foster, who went from Stoke to Wrexham on loan and was signed by Manchester United. It's obviously not a bad place to start.

"When I went there first I was a bit worried because it was the Conference, the fifth division.

"You don't really think about the fifth division in Austria and now I know you just can't compare it.

"The first couple of games went really well and that gave me confidence and for 10, 15 games I thought I helped the team a lot.

"It's been great to play in front of big crowds.

"Wrexham are one of the biggest clubs in that division with the whole set-up; fans, training ground, stadium."
