Stoke City boss Tony Pulis will be patient with new signing Tuncay Sanli.

Pulis admits Tuncay's commitments with Turkey have stalled his progress since arriving from Middlesbrough.

"But he (Tuncay) is a great lad with a great attitude. His persona about the place has been first-class. I spoke to a lot of people about him and they say he's got an air about him.

"But he would be the first to admit he isn't right on it at the moment.

"We'll be patient with him because he's got good quality.

"It's taken Dave Kitson a long time to settle in and now he looks a player. Some players slip in straight away, others take time," Pulis told The Sentinel.
