Stephan Lichtsteiner is delighted with his move to FC Augsburg.
The 35 year-old Swiss defender has signed a one-year contract with FCA after being released by the Gunners.
The veteran said, "FC Augsburg is a club that has developed great in recent years. For me this step is exactly the challenge that I wanted after my trip to England.
"I have the feeling that I can contribute a lot to this young and hungry team. That and the great atmosphere in the Bundesliga is very exciting for me."
FCA sports chief Stefan Reuter also said: "We are delighted that with Stephan Lichtsteiner we have been able to win over an experienced professional to FCA, who, with his impressive career in Switzerland, France, Italy, England and the Swiss national team, has an unbelievable wealth of experience to offer in addition to his sporting qualities."
