Boss Derek McInnes believes St Johnstone have turned a corner after successive victories. Saints claimed a 3-0 Co-operative Insurance Cup third-round victory over Queen of the South at McDiarmid Park on Tuesday, having secured their first win of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League season over St Mirren last Saturday.
McInnes, who signed a two-year contract extension as the Perth side's manager prior to the game, said: "We've had one poor performance this season, and that was against Motherwell (losing 2-0).
"We looked at that game and I think we've learned from it.
"We've scored five goals since that and I think on the whole there were spells (against Queens) when we looked back to what I expect."
