St Etienne chief Dominique Rocheteau has confirmed their interest in Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy.

Mendy, after a season in England, is expected to leave the Foxes in the coming weeks.

Rocheteau admits ASSE are keen and says: "Yes, he's on our list.

"Our two priorities are a midfielder and a left back. Concerning Mendy, it is not a signing that can be done immediately but rather at the end of mercato, if his club can not transfer him before."
