Spurs launch swap bid for Forest attacker Brennan Johnson

Tottenham are pushing to close a deal for Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson.

The Wales international wants to leave Forest this week.

Brentford failed with a £35m bid for Johnson, while he is also a target for Chelsea.

But the Telegraph says Spurs are now in talks with Forest for the attacker. Forest want £50m to sell.

However, Spurs hope to drive down the cash component by offering Davinson Sanchez and Bryan Gil in part exchange.
