Sporting Gijon are swooping for Roma striker Ezequiel Ponce.

Sporting aim to take Ponce on loan from Roma as the new Antonio Sanabria.

Last season, Sanabria became a star during his Liga loan spell in Gijon and Roma hope to repeat the trick.

Sky Sport Italia reports Ponce is now on track to follow in Sanabria's footsteps.

The 19-year-old centre-forward arrived from Newell's Old Boys in August 2015.
