Sporting Gijon have gone cold on signing Barcelona fullback Douglas.

Douglas has been offered to Sporting on-loan.

"We don't think it's possible or feasible," said their sporting director, Nico Rodriguez.

He explained that the LFP restrictions on Sporting have practically forced them to rule out the signing.

Barcelona' sorting director Robert Fernandez had been negotiating the potential loan of Douglas while he was in Gijon, where he also watched Alen Halilovic as they thrashed Real Sociedad 5-1.
