Spezia midfielder Pobega grateful to Maldini; targets AC Milan future

Spezia midfielder Tommaso Pobega sees his future at parent club AC Milan.

Pobega signed terms to 2025 with Milan before moving on-loan to Spezia.

“(Director Paolo) Maldini, before sending me on loan to Spezia, told me good luck and encouraged me to work well because Milan continue to follow me," he said.

“That's where I want to return. Before moving to Spezia, I played in friendlies against Monza and Vicenza.

“I realised Milan were ready for that leap in quality. They're a great team, everyone knows what they have to do on the pitch and the characteristics of the individuals.

“But I was sad to play with Spezia in an empty San Siro, it was really sad."
