Manchester United and Southampton are set to hold talks about a Red Devils youngster.

The Saints have made contact with United about the prospect of signing winger Amad on loan this summer.

The young Ivory Coast star was on loan at Sunderland last term, where he was outstanding.

While United will give Amad a chance in pre-season to show Erik ten Hag his worth, another loan is possible.

Whether he goes to Southampton is an entirely different question, as United may have other plans.

A loan to a top flight club appears more likely, given Amad has already spent a year in the Championship.
