Southampton have emerged as the frontrunners for Manchester United youth product James Garner.

The central midfielder excelled during a loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League.

However, he is not in the plans of manager Erik ten Hag, with Manchester Evening News stating that Garner is for sale.

The outlet also adds that Garner is available for between £15 million and £20 million.

Southampton are the team showing the strongest interest in getting a deal done.

However, there is interest from other Premier League clubs as well.
