Southampton are moving for Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun.
Arsenal turned down a £5million offer for Balogun from Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford in January. His current deal expires next summer.
But the Gunners have been unable to convince Balogun to extend his contract and that the Emirates remains the best place for his development, either with their offer or his involvement in Mikel Arteta's first-team setup, says the Daily Mail.
Rather than lose Balogun for nothing when his deal runs out Arsenal are now preparing to consider offers this summer.
Brentford remain interested along with AC Milan who also wanted Balogun in January while Southampton have joined the list of admirers.
