Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has lodged a financial complaint against Alaves.

Marca reports Pellegrino has submitted a formal complaint against his former club, with a claim that the club owe him half a million euros which was promised for taking them to the Copa del Rey final.

Pellegrino and his backroom team are requesting that Alaves makes the payment, which they say is yet to be paid since taking the Vitoria outfit to only their second cup final in 96 years in May.

The fee is believed to consist in 100,000 euros each for Pellegrino and assistants Xavi Tamarit, Carlos Compagnucci, David Rodriguez and Javier Lopez Vallejo.
