Southampton are ready to bid for Steaua Bucharest centre-back Florin Gardos.
The Mirror says Gardos is wanted to replace Dejan Lovren at Saints after the Croatian star joined Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert at Liverpool.
The Romanian international, who has been at Steaua Bucharest for four years, will command a transfer fee of £4.8m.
