Solskjaer, Shaw says Maguire could yet make Man Utd XI for Europa League final

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Harry Maguire will do all he can to make Wednesday's Europa League final against Villarreal.

United take on Unai Emery's Villarreal in Gdansk as they seek a first major trophy for four years.

Defender Maguire has missed United's past four Premier League games after suffering ligament damage against Aston Villa on May 9.

Solskjaer said: "Harry is just going to jog up and down the sideline a little bit, I reckon.

"And he'll probably try to join in."

The 28-year-old centre-back has played 54 games for United this season and had played every minute of United's league games since joining from Leicester in 2019 before suffering his injury.

Luke Shaw added: "Harry's here, he's travelled with us.

"We've still got a session to go so we'll see how he is. We're not too sure yet but we're hoping he can be available.

"But the main focus is for the players who are fit to enjoy the session and be ready for the game tomorrow."
