Solskjaer adamant Man Utd won't 'overpay' for new signings

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists they won't overpay for new signings.

Reports from Portugal suggest that United and Sporting Lisbon are at odds over the transfer fee for midfielder Bruno Fernandes, with the Red Devils looking to pay less than the figure they have been quoted.

And comments from Solskjaer, who spoke to the press on Tuesday, suggest the Red Devils will not be rushed into paying over the odds for the Portuguese.

"We have been linked with so many players," explained the United boss.

"I'm sure you don't believe every single player that we've been linked with, but I think that Manchester United sometimes have, because of the wealth, maybe we have had to pay more, a bigger premium to get players in, and that's just the world we live in.

"And we've taken our time, we're not going to overpay, but we have to get the right people in, the right players."
