Slovakia's Weiss content after loss but left ruing missed chances

Slovakia's Vladimir Weiss was not too perturbed after being eliminated from the World Cup 2-1 by Holland but did speak of his sides inability to make the most of their opportunities.

The eastern Europeans had a few great chances to level the match when the Oranje led 1-0 into the second half and Weiss, although not overly disappointed, lamented the fact his side could have had more of a say in the match.

"I want to congratulate Holland," said Weiss. "They were great opponents.

"We had three huge chances when the result was 1-0 and had Vittek managed to make his chances, it could have been a different story.

"But in the end, if you make mistakes you are punished.

"I think no coach can be happy if he loses and if he has three high quality chances against Holland.

"I am happy with my players although I believe they could have played much better."
