Slavia Prague boss Trpisovsky tells Leicester over pitch moans: Welcome to reality!

Slavia Prague boss Jindrich Trpisovsky has shrugged off criticism from Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers of their pitch last night.

After City's goalless draw with the Czech champions in the Europa League on Thursday night, Rodgers described the surface as “not in the best condition" and a “bit bumpy", while Kasper Schmeichel went further, labelling it “terrible".

“It's something they (City) are not used to, the quality of pitches is different," Trpisovsky said in his post-match press conference. “They have the top pitches, which is something we can only dream about.

“When we went to Chelsea two seasons ago, I was afraid to even stand on the pitch. My players will have the chance to see that next week.

“This is the best pitch we have in the Czech Republic, this quality of grass in February is good. I've been to around 50 stadiums in European competitions and what we have here is excellent.

“If the manager had seen the quality of grass at other teams in the Czech Republic, he would be surprised."
