Sheffield United, Huddersfield target Murphy content with Motherwell

Jamie Murphy says he is happy at Motherwell despite there being plenty of interest surrounding his services.

The 23-year old winger has attracted interest from the likes of Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Rangers ahead of the January transfer window opening but he suggests there has been no official contact from any outside parties.

"There will probably be speculation but I expect it now, to be honest," he told SunSport.

"That's about three or four transfer windows I have been experiencing this kind of speculation.

"I just try and get on with it and when the club comes to me and says they've accepted a bid from someone, that's the only time I'll go and speak to them.

"I've not spoken to anyone about signing a pre-contract."

He added: "I don't have a preference. If a team thinks I'm good enough to play for them and they put in a bid, I'll speak to them. Until then, I'm here.

"I've been here for 11 years and until someone tells me otherwise, I'll remain here.

"I've not spoken to the gaffer or Leeann Dempster about Sheffield United, but I'm sure if something happens they'll tell me about it.

"I've not spoken about a contract extension either and I don't know when I will."
