Mircea Lucescu has backed Dan Petrescu to be a future Chelsea manager.

Shakhtar Donetsk coach Lucescu is a big fan of his fellow Romanian and believes he is capable of taking charge of the Blues.

Former Chelsea star Petrescu is currently in charge of Dynamo Moscow.

"I'm sure he could do it," Lucescu declared. "But he must make an impact in Europe to be noticed."
