Scotland coach Clarke confident over McTominay form amid Man Utd struggles

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has spoken about Scott McTominay's lack of first-team minutes.

The Manchester United ace is not in favor with coach Erik ten Hag so far this season.

McTominay, who was injured a lot last term, is on the fringes of the United team at present.

"Scott's a terrific professional," Clarke said at a press conference after the announcement of his squad, which includes McTominay.

"I'm sure he has been working hard over the course of pre-season.

"He gets his minutes off the bench for Manchester United, definitely not as many minutes as Scott would want, but I've got no worries in terms of Scott's physicality and mentality. He will be ready, if selected."
