Kasper Schmeichel is ready to stay with Anderlecht.

The former Leicester City captain has been linked with a return to England at Sheffield United.

However, HLN says the Dane is happy at Anderlecht, where he is firmly established as the club's outright No1.

Indeed, Anderlecht management now plan to take up a 12 month option in Schmeichel's contract.

The situation suits Schmeichel, who wants regular football to be in shape for the summer's Euros.
