Paul Scharner expects Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone to find himself a top Premier League club.

Kone has confirmed interest from Crystal Palace and is keen to hear from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Scharner, who has returned to Hamburg from his loan at the Latics, said: "He's such a talent and he's very strong.

"It's harder to find a stronger guy in the Premier League. The way he can hold up the ball up front is amazing.

"He scored a few vital goals against teams that were around Wigan in the relegation zone last season but it wasn't enough.

"I think he's a decent striker and I can understand why there are other teams interested in him. I think he can do a good job if he moves to another club in the Premier League."
