Sassuolo chief exec Giovanni Carnevale insists there's no favourite to sign Davide Frattesi.

The Italy midfielder is a target for Inter Milan and Brighton.

Asked about a favourite for Frattesi's signature, Carnevale said: “No. There's still not team that's ahead of the rest.

“There's still a long road ahead of us.

“Sometimes it's hard to understand exactly what's happening.

“We're in talks with several teams, but there's still a long way to go.

“Over the coming days we'll be in talks with a number of clubs and agents. The negotiations won't be easy."
