Sampdoria are interested in bringing Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane back to Serie A in the January transfer window, reports Sky Sports.

The 28 year old defender only joined the Foxes from Atalanta in August but has struggled to make an impact, managing just four substitute appearances in the league.

Benalouane has found his opportunities limited at King Power Stadium with Wes Morgan and Robert Huth firmly established as Claudio Ranieri's first-choice centre-back pairing.
