Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino says he needs to speak with Davide Nicola about Edinson Cavani.

Off contract in June, the departing Manchester United striker is a confirmed target for Iervolino.

He said, "I have always had a great love for the city and for football, even if I never thought that one day I would invest in a team.

"Ten million to buy the team and another ten to rebuild it, in record time, with eleven new men."

On former Napoli striker Cavani, Iervolino added: "I still have to listen to the plans of the coach and general manager."
