Sacchi hails Italy coach Mancini: This team devoid of negative, defensive and boring football

Former Milan and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi has hailed the work of Roberto Mancini with the Azzurri.

Mancini's Italy boast a 100 per cent record in Euros qualifying, with the final game held against Armenia tonight.

"The Azzurri win, convince and entertain. They left to applause from the Bosnian public on Friday, who admired their quality," said Sacchi.

"Mancini inherited a squad that failed to qualify for the last World Cup and a league that is overflowing with foriegn players, so pessimism was rampant. However the work accomplished by Mancini and his boys is hardly imaginable. They are a positive and courageous example to the rest of the league.

"Mancio has set the template for this Italy, his choices are full of skill and optimism. They are devoid of negative, defensive and boring football. They are becoming more convincing with every game. In the match against Bosnia, we saw them pressing as very few teams practice in Serie A."
