Russia striker Dzyuba says blame should be shared with England for Marseille trouble

Artem Dzyuba suggests England fans are as much to blame as Russia's disruptive supporters for the trouble at Euro2016.

The city of Marseille was turned on its head before and after the two teams clashed in their opening group stage match on Saturday and both FAs have been warned about the future conduct of the travelling support.

Russian ultras have been blamed for the majority of the violence but Russian striker Dzyuba believes the English hooligans in attendance have also been up to no good.

"I don't really understand the reaction of the British media, who have this impression England supporters are like angels who just behave themselves," he said.

"You have to be objective, there is 50-50 in every conflict. I don't see that the Russians are the only ones at fault.

"Yes in those videos there was some aggression but we only saw fragments. Of course, we can all put fragments together and publish them."

Zenit Saint Petersburg's Dzyuba added: "We can see the things the British media are talking about, saying they have to take the World Cup from Russia.

"This is about politics."
