Rush begins for new MLS franchise Charlotte season tickets

Charlotte's newly created Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise have confirmed they received more than 7,000 season-ticket deposits in the first 24 hours of the new team being announced, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is at the helm of the new Charlotte team and they will play at the 75,523-seater Bank of America Stadium from 2021.

Carolina Panthers' president Tom Glick told WFNZ: "We've just been flying with the seat deposits since 10.30 (Tuesday) morning when we announced. So we've done more than double in our first day what Atlanta (United) did.

"We have more than 7,000 deposits for season tickets already in less than 24 hours, so it's a huge measurement of success."
