The agent of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani says his priority is extending his stay in Turin.

New contract talks are underway, though Rugani must accept a major cut on wages to remain.

"We are always optimistic, but let us not get ahead of ourselves," agent Davide Torchia told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Giuntoli discussed the potential, I do not want to say the desire, to extend his contract. It is no secret that this was first considered in the summer, we are pleased and Daniele is happy because he is increasingly tied to this club.

“He never thought about leaving, even when there were many champions standing in his way and he didn't play as often. He always said that as long as the club was happy, he would want to remain.

“They appreciated the value of the man as well as the player."
