Roma president Rosella Sensi has defended their transfer policy after replacing Luciano Spalletti with new coach Claudio Ranieri this week.
Bogdan Lobont, Nicolas Burdisso and Stefano Guberti have only been added to Roma this summer, with the club now rock bottom of Serie A.
"We studied our transfer policy, but did not achieve all our objectives," confessed the President.
"We brought back some youngsters who were on loan. Burdisso and [Marco] Motta were signed, but I know I can never make the fans entirely happy.
"I am proud that the club is able to finance itself and I am not convinced I have done such a bad job. I'm not happy we failed to get a striker, but I am sure I hand over a good squad to the Coach."
