Rooney puts together backroom team for Birmingham move

Former DC United coach Wayne Rooney is eyeing the Birmingham City manager's job.

The Sun says Birmingham manager John Eustace is eyeing the vacant Rangers post and Blues' new US owners are eyeing Rooney as a replacement.

Rooney is already putting together his backroom team for St Andrews.

The former Manchester United captain has lined up Chelsea legend Ashley Cole and Reading coach John O'Shea.

Everything will now hinge on Eustace's plans at St Andrews.
