Ronald de Boer: Newcastle target Frank will remain at Ajax

Ronald de Boer believes his brother Frank is in no hurry to leave his role as manager of Ajax Amsterdam.

The former Barcelona defender is being closely linked with a possible move to Newcastle United to permanently replace Alan Pardew in the summer but his twin is of the belief that he will be staying at his home club for the foreseeable future.

"I'm 90 per cent certain he (Frank) will stay at Ajax. It all depends on what club is going to come and ask him," Ronald told talkSPORT of the possibility of his brother stepping into the role currently held by John Carver.

De Boer has guided Ajax to four-straight Eredivisie titles but they have their work cut out for them if they want to clinch a fifth championship in a row as PSV Eindhoven sit 14 points clear on top of the Dutch top flight table.
