AS Roma striker Stephan El Shaarawy admits they need Atalanta to drop points in their top four battle.

El Shaarawy struck in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Genoa, which leaves them three points behind fourth placed Atalanta.

He said: “I think we need to stay focused on ourselves. We're a few points behind so we'll need Atalanta's results to go our way. We need to try and win all the matches that we have left. It's not just about the club's interest but that of all the players, who should be aiming to play in such a big competition.

"We need to stay ambitious and focused. We showed substance and focus until the final moments. Now we need to look ahead and keep on fighting."
