Roma striker Paulo Dybala says victory over Empoli was a message for their doubters.

Dybala scored twice as Roma won 7-0 on Sunday.

“We certainly needed to send a message, change something and each of us try to make a sacrifice by giving something more. I think we did that tonight," Dybala told DAZN.

“I am happy with Lukaku's arrival, Azmoun, N'Dicka and all the new signings. I spoke to the coach and tried to get back into shape during the break for international duty, I feel good today."

He added, “There is no egotism here, whoever feels they want to take the penalty will take it. So I'll take some and some will be for my teammates."
