AS Roma legend Francesco Totti has paid tribute to former AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi.

The Monza passes away on Monday at the age of 86.

Totti recalled: "Today we lose a great piece of Italian and world history. We are talking about a warm, funny character. He had all the weapons to be the number one.

"He did everything to bring me to Milan but after my time at Roma it was difficult for him to detach me from my team.

"I will thank him for life, he will always remain number one for me: on and off the pitch. I think he had the his convictions. He won everything that could be won."
