Roma coach Mourinho raises Gomez doping case for Europa League final defeat

Roma coach Jose Mourinho enjoyed a swipe at AC Monza winger Papu Gomez after Sunday's win.

Just a fortnight into his move to Monza, Gomez has been banned for two years for failing a doping test while with Sevilla last season. The Argentine has since declared the illegal substance was found in his son's cough syrup that he took.

In a past interview, Gomez took a swipe at the Special One when stating the only memory he had of Mou was "when I won the Europa League with Sevilla".

After victory on Sunday, Mourinho responded to Gomez's jibe: "I don't remember him playing in the Europa League final against us. It seems to me that he did it against Juventus in the semifinals with an already positive control."

He topped it off by saying that "I have a cough, but I don't want to take syrup or pills. Or I might have trouble passing drug tests".
