Roma coach Mourinho emotional reaching Europa League final: An honour to work with these guys

Roma coach Jose Mourinho was emotional after reaching the Europa League final.

After winning the Europa Conference League last season, Roma will meet Sevilla in the final after last night's 0-0 draw at Bayer Leverkusen. Roma reach the final 1-0 on aggregate.

Mourinho said: "With everything we have accumulated in these two years, the players have learned a lot, we arrived here in difficulty Dybala, Smalling and Wijnaldum got hurt and we had to go a month without them in important games, not being able to make changes.

"There were injuries to Spinazzola and Celik on the side lanes, Kardsorp is out but the team always finds solutions on a human level. For me it is not only a pleasure, but an honor to work with these guys.

"Incredible, even Smalling in extreme situations has given the willingness to play. My players are fantastic, incredible."

He added, "I'm not thinking about the Champions League, I'm thinking about the final to play by giving everything we have as we always do. There's a cup there and we want to take it home."
