AS Roma hope to schedule formal talks with off contract Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o in the coming days.
Roma have expressed interest in the Cameroon legend, but is yet to make official contact.
Eto'o is keen on the move, as he wants to return to Italy, where his family feel at home, and play in the Champions League with the Giallorossi.
The veteran has also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, but Roma are now regarded as the favoured option for the former Inter Milan Treble winner.
