Rio Ave fullback Fabio Coentrao has hinted at a bitter split from Real Madrid last summer.
The former Portugal international's final years at Real saw him frozen out and spend time away on-loan.
Coentrao told A Bola: "I went through many things at the beginning of the season.
"If I could explain everything that happened on August 31 you would know what I went through, I would like to talk about it...
"But unfortunately I cannot."
He added: "I had a beautiful career full of titles and I played in the best teams in the world, fortunately I returned home. I do not even think about where I could be, now I'm here and I just want to help the club stay in first place."
